For the app store of the electrical engineering, electronics and automation company Phoenix Contact, a powerful virtual reality show was developed that allows viewers to experience the benefits of the PLCnext Technology ecosystem up close.

Challenge

Making digital products and processes visible.

Our approach

A virtual reality show that immerses viewers live in the virtual space of the company‘s own PLCnext store.

Skills

Concept, design, virtual reality, augmented reality

AT SPS IPC DRIVES 2018, EUROPE‘S LEADING TRADE FAIR FOR THE AUTOMATION INDUSTRY, WE PRESENT THE BENEFITS OF THE VIRTUAL MARKETPLACE WITH CONCRETE AND POWERFUL CASES.

The audience is taken into a pump system and experiences how easy it is to implement a pump control without programming effort using apps from the PLCnext Store.

THE AUDIENCE DOES NOT NEED VR GLASSES TO EXPLORE THE STORE, BECAUSE THE 3D WORLDS ARE CREATED BEFORE THEIR EYES.

This is made possible by a complex camera technology that simultaneously films the presenter - an expert from Phoenix Contact - and the virtual space.

THE KEY VISUAL IS A MOVING CUBE COMPLEX THAT CONTINUOUSLY REASSEMBLES ITSELF AND WHOSE DYNAMISM AND FLEXIBILITY ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE STORE‘S VARIOUS COMBINABLE SOLUTIONS.

At the trade fair, a fully-fledged studio set is created that combines the real and virtual worlds - and thus conceptually reflects the performance of the PLCnext Store.
