The challenge

The Ötztal 360 Visitor Center in the heart of Sölden is a contemporary, experiential tourist information center that is designed to help revitalize the entire village center.

Our approach

The holistic visitor experience consists of the following elements: information, inspiration and exploration. Interactive exhibits and stories from authentic locals extend the length of stay.

Skills

Concept, interior design, exhibit design, media play, film, social media integration and the strategic embedding in the customer journey.

In times when vacationers are looking for “authentic” experiences and recommendations from locals, tourist information must be a place of encounter and interaction.

The exchange between guests and locals is the focus of Ötztal 360: whether in the conversations between travelers and guides, in the media productions or in events that are aimed at vacationers and locals alike.

INFORM

The open floor plan and inviting service islands encourage dialogue between vacationers and local experts.Intuitive, service-oriented tools support the employees in communicating what the region has to offer.

INSPIRE

In the three-dimensional film panorama, guests are immersed in the many facets of the Ötztal. The stylistic means of the film and the handling of the polygonal projection surface are as versatile as the Ötztal and its inhabitants. Guests get to know people, history and lifestyle and discover inspiring ways to spend their vacation.

The cinema area is bordered by a mobile bench that can be moved during events, providing flexibility for various uses of the space.

EXPLORE

With the newly developed 360˚ EXPLORERs, space and time no longer play a role. Visitors virtually discover the highlights of the Ötztal and become mountain bikers or skiers regardless of the season. This is how the Ötztal Visitor Center makes winter attractive for summer vacationers - and vice versa.

The attractions are intuitively accessible through a 360° rotation. The visitors navigate through an abstracted 3D model of the valley and explore the attractions in panoramic photos, image collections and 360° videos.

The visitor center also invites interaction in the evening: via Instagram, personal Ötztal moments can be shared and explored.
