Convention rather than conference, dialog in lieu of head-on instruction, movement instead of inertia: for Finanz Informatik’s FI-Forum, we developed a contemporary architectural and design language.

De-centrality is the Sparkassen group’s defining characteristic and key factor of success. We thus translated the modern image of swarm intelligence and simultaneous consolidation of competence into space. Stretching across the entire ceiling of Hall 11, the “Swarm”, an echelon of soffits, connects the innovation and inspiration areas with the centrepiece: an inviting platform opening up, as a custom-built gesture, a location for dialog and exchange. In addition, four stages provide ample space for guest speakers and keynotes to promote thinking outside the box.

The novelty: for the first time ever, the in-house trade fair for the Sparkassen management level, associated partners, and IT specialists includes an inspirational area. Here, a laboratory-like workshop area and a digital-analog media centre invite visitors to try out and challenge trends from outside their industry, such as VR headsets and robotics.

Ready-made furniture and flexible, multi-functional table and frame systems seamlessly interact with our design direction, and create an inviting convention environment that emits both nonchalance and value. Thanks to our architecture’s scalability and flexibility, we were able to provide Finanz Informatik with a modular solution for future applications.
