“A benchmark to the industry”: those were the words uttered by the Art Directors Club Germany’s (ADC) to honor Atelier Markgraph co-founder Prof. Roland Lambrette’s visionary work. A pioneer of scenography, Lambrette received an honorary title for his seminal lifetime achievement during the “ADC Night of Honour” on February 21. “A designer of individual autonomy who, in his lifetime, has invited to various complicities, and has entered into them, to transform things, brands, and spaces in an effort to create something new out of the existing,” said curator and author Matthias Wagner K about Lambrette.
The ADC’S honorary title has been issued since 2007; among its prestigious recipients are typographer Erik Spiekermann and photographer Daniel Josefsohn. In addition to Roland Lambrette, the ADC honored another two “outstanding figures of the creative and communications industry”: Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani was appointed honorary member of the year 2018, alongside EDEKA AG’s marketing and distribution manager Claas Meineke, who received the distinction “Client of the Year.”
We congratulate them!
